Louise J. Murzyn

BOZRAH- Louise J. Murzyn, 89, died peacefully at home on August 2, 2019 surrounded by those she dearly loved. She was born in Bridgeport on July 15, 1930 to the late Joseph and Louise Johnson and was raised in Stratford.Louise graduated from Stratford High School and last worked at W.W. Backus Hospital as a receptionist. On November 3, 1951 she was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Murzyn; they were married for 47 years until his passing in 1999. Louise was a strong-willed woman with a heart of gold; she was always keeping busy by either playing with her granddaughter, gardening, reading, watching Jeopardy, doing both jig saw and crossword puzzles or hanging out at the Colchester Senior Center with her best friend Joanne.Louise is survived by three sons, Mark P. Murzyn, Joseph R. Murzyn and Stephen Murzyn and his wife Dawn, with whom she made her home; four grandchildren, Meghan Mercuri, Amanda Murzyn, Mathew Murzyn and Michael Murzyn as well as three great-grandchildren, Kassidi, Guy and Jacob. In addition to her husband Ted, Louise was predeceased by her brother Harold Johnson.To honor Louise’s wishes there will be no services.
