HEBRON - Monroe “Jay” Lulick Jr., 57 passed into the Lord’s care on September 26, 2020 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury, MA following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Hartford on May 20, 1963 to the late Monroe and Emily (Sklarsky) Lulick.
Jay grew up in Lebanon, CT and graduated from Lyman Memorial High School. In his senior year of high school Jay earned the distinction of All-American in Soccer. He was one of the best soccer players in America and many Ivy League Colleges were pursuing him; not only for his talent in soccer but his high aptitude in academics. Jay’s excellence in soccer extended to Olympic tryouts but because of an injury another path was forged. He then opted to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force. Jay proudly served his country and was honorably discharged. Jay had a passion for music, enjoyed being outdoors appreciating nature and gardening. He was much loved by his family.
Jay is survived by his siblings, Patricia Lujan of Hebron, Stephanie Hayber of East Haddam, Christine McCorrison of Amston, Nancy Lulick of Hebron, Margot Lulick of Rhinecliff, NY and Nicholas Lulick of Columbia. He is also survived by four nieces; Melissa Jack of Salisbury, Tania Tomoroga of Bolton, Leah Marouski of Columbia and Brianna LeBlanc of Columbia and one nephew; Garrett Lulick of Columbia as well as five great nieces and one great nephew.
